Hermes Turtle Voyage

I found myself going all Findy Nemo for this one! The Turtle was animated in Dragon Bones and is much smoother, the above animation is a GIF with a lower frame rate.
OCR from a screen grab? Why would you want that? Ahh….Ok.

As development on Blobbit Push draws to an end there’s a list of things that need fixing, sorting and tweaking before the game can be published. One of ‘these things’ is to compile a list of all the animations we’re using for the front end UI. Stuff like level select, pause menu, you get the […]
Origins of the Blobbit logo and meanderings…

A 3rd Blobbit game has been on the cards for quite some time, we didn’t really plan it as part of some grand plan; we knew when the time was right a game we would make. That time was late 2017, the game we started was Blobbit Push (1.5). Before I write about what the […]
The Dwarves of Glistenveld – Oh yes!

I don’t work on many video games these days, though that appears to be chaning in recent years. So when me old mate from the later Sensible days dropped me a message asking if I was interested in doing some pixel art for a project he was overseeing I was all ears. I’m probably known […]

Revisting the Sensible Golf Editor Part 2

Back in 2011 whilst browsing through some of my art archives I found a disc image called “Sensible Golf Editor”. Of course I simple had to try it out even if I couldn’t remember how the thing actually worked! Well it was a great idea at the time but I just couldn’t remember what keys […]
Love is in the air, Valentines Day artwork

I had a blast doing the artwork for a valentines day game app. Here’s a selection of the art I created, all lovingly produced in the wonderful Inkscape.
One Armed Bandit Twice

Summer 2014, I worked on a pretty damn fine slots game for iOS, sadly no longer available; here’s a few shots from it.I provided all the artwork and animations for these games with the majority of the art created in Inkscape with a few of the bitmap edits done in Gimp and effects for speed […]
Indie Royale – Artwork Post

For about a year around 2013/2014 I provided all the bundle artwork for the guys at Indie Royale. Most of my work was to create the theme art for each bundle, usually based on the titles. For the most part I used Inkscape to create these pieces, mostly drawn digitally in rough using MyPaint, occasionally […]
