Greetings programs! When I converted my old blog and website over to WordPress many years ago it was with the intention to post stuff about my work and various titbits of info around it. But one thing I didn’t factor in was time. UrbX Warriors is taking a huge chunk of my time of late which is good, but means with everything else I’ve just not had the time to post anything decent to my blog.

It’s nice when ones work is recognised as it validates in some way the effort put in to create something you feel happy and confident to release to the world. One thing that always hits home is when someone from the industry praises my work, in this case Sean McClure who like many artists has worked on many of the games you have probably played over the years.
What a great event this was. We came away with recapped Amigas too! May come in handy for testing UrbX

One of the biggest things that can so easily be overlooked when putting together a Kickstarter campaign is having enough

We attended Zzap! Live this year and one of the highlights for us was being interviewed by James Woodcock of

The great thing about producing content in todays world is once you create something that starts to gets people’s attention,

We finally launched! Check out the campaign launch party here where for some unknown reason my webcam decided to stop

Tony and I were honoured to have been asked to be interviewed for The Retro Hour. You can listen to

Continuing from part 1 of my documented journey into the world of ZX Spectrum Next video game development for UrbX Warriors (with my partner in crime Tony Warriner) I suppose the next bit I should write about is how the look of the game came about. But…

Back in 1987 I was fully immersed in learning as much as I could about game development on my dream

Our Campaign page for the game:https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/tonywarriner/urbx-warriors-an-original-game-for-the-spectrum-next Back in November 2024 at Crash Live 2024, Tony and I demoed Urbx Warriors

I was browsing a few Atari sites recently casually reading about the old hardware – yes, even after all these

If you’ve been following my journey, you know I’ve been hard at work on a game called UrbX Warriors with my deve partner, Tony Warriner. After much deliberation, we finally settled on the name “Brazen Gameplay” and the challenge of creating a logo began! Inspired by the iconic 90s arcade art, I wanted our logo to reflect our vision while maintaining a fresh look. Join me as I share the creative process behind our logo design, the struggles, and the triumphs that led to the final result. Exciting times ahead as we prepare to launch our Kickstarter campaign!

You’ve probably heard of the Spectrum Next, right? Out of all the new machines to come out based on the “what if” progression of old hardware, the Next has to be one of the best looking I’ve seen and having learned a bit about the hardware, a very plausible, believable progression in the Spectrum line up. I can’t help but think if Sinclair/Amstrad had continued development of this much loved British Icon it would probably have not been too dissimilar to what we see in the Next today.

I was in Norwich this Saturday just gone visiting my son who is at Uni there, you know the usual

A few months back I received a message from co-host of the Retro Hour Podcast, Ravi Abbott, a superb podcast I’d previously been a guest on with his Amiga partner in crime Dan Wood. To cut it short Ravi asked me if I would be interested in being a guest speaker at the Kick Start UK 02 event he was organising for the end of June 2024.
The video is now up of that interview.

This is just a quick post as a comment on the coasters I sell over at my lil’old art shop

Here’s an interview I gave to Arcade Attack posted on YouTube and available now! The interview was audio only but
Yep it’s done! You can now watch the final part of my series, Colouring in an Amiga 1000, based on the
